Tengeri Natural Fitness

Learn how to move naturally and perform the movements our bodies were made for.

Tengeri Natural Fitness provides a natural and sustainable approach to fitness. Their training focuses on movement patterns that are natural to the body, and moving and responding most efficiently to our environment. It’s about being able to perform the movements that our bodies were made for – moving the way we were made to move.

The benefits of natural fitness are that you can exercise anywhere, and create more sustainable fitness habits.

Tengeri’s classes provide an overview of natural movement techniques and skills, and help people to build competencies and efficiencies in movements such as running, jumping, throwing, climbing and even crawling.

Two types of classes are offered: Natural Movement – designed to build natural movement capabilities and teach exercise techniques suitable for natural outdoor environments; and Urban Movement – designed to teach how to move through urban city environments using the principles and techniques of Parkour and Free Running.

Along with building natural movement and survival skills, participants will also build strength, speed, stamina and suppleness. The training is a lot of fun and every session offers something different, all delivered in a natural or urban setting.

Find out more about natural fitness here and follow Tengeri on Facebook here.

Tengeri Natural Fitness is offering HerCanberra readers free access to any of their sessions for one week. You can view the timetable here to find a class that suits you.

Classes are offered each week in locations ranging from Lake Ginninderra to Mount Ainslie and in the city.

Book your spot by visiting Tengeri’s website to register – they’ll send you out some forms to fill in before you pop along to class.[/box]
